Birthday Party

Our little angels wishes to come,
Too early everyone had to say,
Mother and Daddy had to pray,
They would grow and see the day,
Now they are growing-up big and strong,
They wish for you to come along,
Come sing their first birthday song,
We know it's a little late,
Bailey and Wyatt had to wait.
April 9 is the date.

We originally thought we would have B and W's birthday party close to their actual due date, but things got in the way. So in April we had a late birthday party/Easter party. I am glad we waited so that cognitively they were 1 and not 8.5 months like in October.

Ssshhh don't tell anyone but Tyler was nice enough to ride the kids around in a pink jeep. He would not want his friends to see him.

Wyatt was not even interested in putting his fingers in the cake. I was not surprised because he won't pick up his own food. He also did not want to put his hands on the jello cake I made for them in October.

Bailey liked squishing it around in her hands. Of course she did not put it near her mouth, and then got upset when she could not get it off her hands.

By the time we opened presents they were tired, and Bailey was overloaded with the stimulus.

Wyatt did muster one attempt at pulling something out of the bag.

Hannah was so sweet to help Bailey play with her kitchen toy.

The kids hunted Easter eggs. Bailey had the right idea. She waited on the concrete and had people bring eggs to her. She hates the grass and won't go near it. It is one of those nice preemie sensory issues.

She is a great big sister and a great help to mommy.

Wyatt loves running around in the grass and isn't scared of anything. He did not mind carrying around an egg or two either.

We loved seeing everyone at the party. It is always nice when family can get together.
