What to do....

So besides working what else is there to do around our city? There is absolutely nothing to do around here. We do live in the armpit of the state.

To pass the time we bought a book shelf, and Lee and Tyler put it together. Then Brianne and I "organized" the book shelf.

We are so bored the children have taken to exercising with me. Poor Tyler has ended up with a smaller ball than Brianne's. I somehow don't think this is fair. They would really like to have my ball. Tyler does get to use my old weights.

This is about as much exercise as we can get out of Brianne.

The Day

For days I have thought about what I would say about Tuesday. Humm.... I have chosen only to say that I am glad it is over. I would like to pass on a blog I got from a wonderful blogger friend: http://smilesandtrials.blogspot.com/ Christine. She linked the following blog on her site, and I think she had some good things to say. http://justseven.blogspot.com/

Please God protect my children and all the unborn babies. Amen

The Last of the Christmas Pictures

The weekend after the 1st we went to Granddaddy and Bebe's house to celebrate Christmas. Again we ate too much, and I got another good recipe from Bebe.

I just love the plates they got with their name on it. (look at the two crazy men in the back ground LOL)

Bebe always gives presents that make a momma smile.

Tyler got bed spreads for his bunk beds. I am so thankful Bebe got these because now he can have that dinosaur room he has been dreaming of.

Where did all the presents go?

We never got a chance to open presents with Nicholas and Anna Kay so we opened them at home
What a smart girl!!!! Brianne could not get her presents open so she went and got her scissors from her play doh.

On January 4, 2009 Maw Maw (Lee's grandmother) passed away. She was an amazing woman and leaves behind a LARGE family. She was born on June 5, 1918. She leaves behind 11 children and approximately 46 grand and great grandchildren.

I am adding a few pictures we have taken throughout the years with Maw Maw and the kids. I think Brianne only saw Maw Maw one time because we were living out of state.

Granny Thompson

We enjoyed spending a time with Granny Thompson at Christmas.

Maw has started a bad thing. She has Brianne wanting money in her pocket. She loses this money also. We had to take away the money Granny Thompson gave her and give her a dollar. She was not happy.

SSSSSHHHHHHH..... this is Aunt (their great aunt) Martha. Don't tell her I took a picture and put it on the blog.

My sweet sensitive Tyler sitting in Granny's lap. Brianne will only throw a cushion at her. It is a game for them.

Weekend After Christmas

We celebrated Christmas with my mom and dad the weekend after Christmas. Pam and Mike (my SIL and brother) were out of town so Jacob was able to spend the entire weekend with us.

In the picture above Tyler and Brianne are opening their presents from Aunt Martha.
The following pictures are from them opening gifts from Maw and Granddaddy.

Tyler's got a measuring tape with his tool and he immediately went to measuring everything.

Brianne got a Barbie jeep. The boys put it together, and Brianne bossed and supervised them.

Granddaddy made Tyler a work bench.

More Mac Mac stuff.....

Who could ride in a Barbie jeep without their baby strapped in?

Maw and Granddaddy said next year they were all just getting boxes.

Check out the new cow boy boots.

The newest edition to the family. Granddaddy gave her such an original name, Lucy. How many Lucy's do you think he will have in his lifetime? He is already trying to fatten her up like the first Lucy.

More Christmas Presents

We did not get to open presents with Lee's mom and Mr Steve so we made a special time for them to open just the presents from them. Here are a few pictures of them opening their presents from Grandma Patsy and Mr Steve.

Tyler has always enjoyed playing with a bag of men Mr Steve has that belonged to his son when he was little. Mr Steve got Tyler his own bag and some men for it.

Goodness could she be more fascinated with a toy that has candy. I looked back at the pictures and found most of them included Brianne eating the sweet tarts. She even later snuck Tyler's out of his stocking and when we caught her she said "she was empty."
