My 1st Grader

Tyler started 1st grade on Thursday. I miss having him with me all day. Brianne and I were lost without him. He seemed happy when he got home. He said he had a good time and he loved lunch and play time.

Gatlinburg 2009

The first night we were all tired from the long drive up so we just took the kids to ride some kiddie rides. The next day we were going to picnic in the park but it rained. We did manage to go to Dollywood after nap time. The rain started again that night and continued till after lunch on Friday. We were able to go to Dollywood again Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, it rained so much a tree fell over the road going up to our cabin. It knocked a power pole and line down. We were unable to get to the cabin till the next day so we had to rent a hotel room. It only rained one more day while we were there so we were able to picnic in the park with Maw and Granddaddy. We also managed to get in a trip to Dixie Stampede. I think that may have been Tyler and Brianne's favorite thing about the trip. I also got to shop for fall clothes. I LOVED that part of the trip.

I don't know how they both fit in this car. I don't think we were expecting it to take the turns as fast as it did. Brianne loved it.
Brianne loved the slide last year. This year they went up the stairs and then made a quick exit back down. She cried like someone was killing her.
Look who came to the mountains while we were there. Maw and Granddaddy!! I think they were mighty tired after spending a day with us. We saw them Monday and Tuesday.
