Hospital Visit

We managed to make it to the hospital on Tuesday. We drove through pouring rain and tornado warnings. When we got to the hospital we were told the wrong time so we were too early to check in. Thank goodness we were in as 23 hour observation so we knew they would have to get us out quickly the next day. We received much better care on the floor we were on this time. Maybe it was due to mentioning how bad 5th floor was last time. They even offered to get us formula for Bailey. Last time the RN said they could not get that kind of stuff. The nurses were attentive. Before going to the room we had to have the ph probe put in. After a few words from me the nurse there changed her tune and was nice also. After she finally had her ultrasound at 3:30 she was allowed to eat. They then came in and wanted her to wear a bag so they could get a urine sample. By this time she is so behind in fluids it was funny that they even thought they would get a sample. After 10:00 PM daddy said that was enough so we did not get a sample. Daddy also refused our 12 AM vital signs. We all need the sleep.

The nurse anesthetist that came in to preop Bailey was the same one that did the anesthesia for Wyatt's first two surgeries. I was so relieved to see her and asked her if she would please do her anesthesia the next day. She is a seasoned CRNA, and I totally trust her with my baby. She even remembered us! It is hard to had your baby over to someone, but it is much easier seeing someone that has taken such good care of your other child. The doctor said the ultrasounds looked normal and she looked OK on the EGD. She just had a weak lower esophageal sphincter which may be why she is having reflux. We will not know about the PH probe or biopsy results for about a week.

When it was time to go home Lee and Bailey were pushing me out the hospital door. Lee even ran over me with the wagon.
Now if someone would just volunteer to put our Christmas tree up for us we would be cooking with gas. You don't have to put any ornaments on it. Just let Tyler and Brianne put candy canes on it and I will take the pictures.
