As most people have heard today. Wyatt was life flighted to UAB hospital for surgery to remove a section of his intestines. He did good during the surgery, but due to his extreme prematurity we do not know if this will occur again. We are praying that this is just a bump in the long road to him coming home one day. Before surgery they removed his eye patches, and I was finally able to see his face. We were also allowed to kiss the top of his head which is the first time either of us have touched him.
Bailey was taken off the ventilator today for a trial on CPAP. They called a few minutes ago to let me know that she was put back on but is again stable. I am sure that she will have many failed trial periods off the ventilator. If that is the biggest problem we have with her we will be very blessed.
Wyatt will be not be returned to the hospital that Bailey is at so unfortunately we will have a baby in Montgomery and one in Birmingham which will be about 85 miles apart. Poor Tyler and Brianne will just be hanging out. We will have to find some sense of normalcy for them. We have not told them that the twins are here, and we will wait till we see how things will go.
Everyone has asked what they can do for us. What we need the most is prayer.

Congratulations. I will definitely be lifting you and your new little ones up in prayer.
Congratulations! For some reason your last few posts all showed up as being posted just a few minutes ago so I didn't know until today that you already gave birth. Wow - you were only 26 weeks, right? Did you have a c-section? Well I will definitely be praying for your two sweet little babies and for you and your hubby as it's going to be a long time before they come home. Hopefully they won't have to be in 2 different hospitals the whole time. I will pray their time in the NICU will be as smooth and short as possible. I guess they'll probably be in the NICU until January? (((hugs))))
