One Down, a Million to Go

Thursday we were officially released from the orthopedic doctor! Now we just have a few million more medical personnel to be discharged from. Frankly, we just keep adding them. While we were there, we happen to see the physical therapist that we had seen previously, and she looked them over. Wyatt is still somewhat stiff on the left side of his neck. I don't know if I mentioned before but he has torticollis on the left side of his neck. She gave me another exercise to do with him. She looked Bailey over and said that because she is at least 25% delayed that she would qualify for in home therapy. She recommended that we contact the Alabama Institute for the Blind and Deaf because they have a really strong program. It was very distressing to hear all of it out loud.

We saw another former NICU patient last week, and we found out from her mom that they have a clinic in Birmingham that I think would benefit us. The clinic follows micro preemies till they are the age of 3. We will get to see a neonatologist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, dietitian, and ophthalmologist. They will also have their hearing checked. I am excited to go on Oct 7th and hope that they can help us. It is very lonely to do all of this alone.

I can't believe that no one told you about this before now! Do the hospitals and drs not share this information?
