My Baby Starts Kindergarten

Tyler's first day of kindergarten was August 20th. His teacher's name is Mrs Nolen. He was so excited to go and had looked forward to school for almost the entire summer. Where has the time gone?

Sissy wanted to be in the picture also. I did manage to get a few pictures without her.


Brianne is going to mother's morning out 2 days a week this year for the first time. Her first day was today. She did really well and did not even cry when I left her.


She wanted to be in all his pictures but did not feel the same about him being in hers when it was her special day. As you can see she is trying to push him out of the picture. She definitely takes after her dad LOL.

July Vacation to Gatlinburg, 2008

We went back to Gatlinburg 7/20 through 7/25. As always we had a blast.


We got to see our friends Cindy and Stacey from CRNA school. It was so good to see them again and catch up on what we have been doing. Not only will they be adding another addition to the family this fall, but Cindy is going to CRNA school. I guess the experience of Stacy going was not enough so she wants more LOL. This is their little boy, Quinton, with Brianne and Tyler.

We picniced two days in the park. We even found a new place.

Again this summer Dollywood had kids fest. We were able to go to the character breakfast.

Brianne would not go near any of the characters and had a melt down if they came to the table. Bubba reluctantly took this picture with Strawberry Shortcake for Brianne.

Brianne is my little dare devil. She loves to ride on the rides. She wanted to ride the elephants that go high in the air, and I told her she would have to ride the tea cups without crying. Well, she went right on them and loved it. We did not get to go on the elephants, but if she wants to go in September we will let her ride.

We will be going back to Gatlinburg in September, and we are counting down the days.

7/14/08, Science Center

Pam and I took Jacob and Tyler to the Science Center in Birmingham, Alabama. We wanted them to see the dinosaur exhibit of the dinosaurs found in Alabama. We had a great time and wish we would have had more time to explore. Some of our time was cut short due to the flat tire we had on the way up there. Brianne stayed at home with Maw.


I did not see the sign that said no pictures in this area (aquarium area only) until after I had taken this picture. Enjoy the picture and don't expect any more because now I know better.

Anyone that knows Tyler very well knows that this exhibit is right down Tyler's alley. He loves to be a dog and can run on all fours better than he can walk on his two feet.

Poor Jacob and Tyler don't realize that this tug of war game is tipped in the other sides favor, and they will never beat the opponent.

A very good day indeed! If you are ever in Birmingham the Science Center is a must see.

Brianne's Birthday Party, July 12th

We had Brianne's birthday party at the YMCA in Prattville. The kids enjoyed swimming and luckily it was overcast so it was cool for the adults. We had pizza and birthday cake.

Don't be fooled by the swim suit. She is not that crazy about the pool. She absolutely hates a bath. We hope this gets better because we are tired of all the screaming she does at bath time.

She loves babies and barbies so we had a barbie cake.

They both love sweets so you can imagine what they are thinking when looking at the cake.
