Walt Disney World.... The End

The last day in the park we went to the Animal Kingdom. We had originally planned not to go to that park because last time we did not have a good time there. Well this time was a better experience, and the kids had a good time. If you ever go make sure you go first thing in the morning and immediately run to the fast pass machine for tickets to the safari. When we got to the machine the fast pass tickets were already to the 1 pm time. The line to the safari was horrible and estimated a 2 hour wait. We were so glad we got to bypass the line when it was our ticket time.

Does anyone know who this character is?

The next three pictures are from the safari.

That night we decided to take it easy and not return to any of the parks. We ate at the restaurant at the hotel. Tyler started to complain of an ear ache so dinner was not very fun for him. When we made it back home he ended up at the doctor's office with an ear infection.
Our hotel had transportation to Downtown Disney via a boat so we decided to ride it. It was a nice peaceful ride.

We ended the night with a visit to the arcade at our hotel.

The morning we left we had reservations at 1900 Park Fare. This is a character breakfast buffet. This is the second time we have been to this restaurant, and it was good both times. We have only been for breakfast, but they also offer dinner. The characters at this restaurant are Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, and the Mad Hatter.

Mary Poppins making sure Brianne is good and does all her chores. Mary Poppins would be so disappointed if she saw Brianne's messy room.

We had a good time, but I was glad to come home to see the little kids. Maw, Grandaddy, and Aunt Brenda spent the week spoiling them both to death. It took us several days to whip them back into shape. Without them the trip would not have been possible. Thank you Maw, Grandaddy, and Aunt Brenda!!!!

Walt Disney Part 2

March 14
We started the day with a character breakfast at Chef Mickey's. The characters included Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. The kids really enjoyed the food here, and it was a buffet so there was lots to choose from.

After breakfast we went to Magic Kingdom.
Brianne loved meeting each Disney Princess.

That afternoon we headed back to Epcot. We explored "The Seas."
We continued exploring the world showcase. The kids got to see some of Canada's culture up close.

Tuesday morning we got up early again to head to Magic Kingdom. We have found that if you want to ride anything without a long wait you have to go when it first opens. I guess most people like to sleep in. We would go early and ride all we could before the crowd would come. We would then eat lunch and go back to the hotel for a nap.
When we first got to the park it was very chilly and the kids needed jackets. It certainly did not take it long to warm up.

Brianne loves her a Disney Character.

This year they had a section where you could go dance with some of the characters. The kids got to dance with Stitch and Chip and Dale.

Ah... Mulan at Epcot
I think she was the sweetest character we met (not that they were not all nice). She was patient and took time up with each kid. She also happens to be the teacher at the Padawan Training that got Brianne to come back on stage and fight.

For Brianne we went to a princess character dining at Norway. We don't recommend it for the food. If you are hungry go elsewhere. She got to see Cinderella, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Ariel.

We managed to get Tyler in a picture with Ariel. He was not thrilled.

Walt Disney World Part 1

On March 12th we set out for Walt Disney World. We waited till we got to Orlando to tell them where we were going. Poor Tyler missed all the signs advertising WDW. Our reservation did not start in WDW till the next day so the first night we just went out to eat and walked around Downtown Disney.Of course Tyler had to go to the Lego store and buy a Lego set.

The first day in the park we went to MGM Studios in the morning and Epcot at night.

MGM Studios
Tyler and Brianne enrolled in Star War's Padawan training.

Tyler fought Darth Vader. This was the highlight of Tyler's trip. They both asked to go back and train again.

Brianne fought Darth Maul. Brianne is not wearing a robe in the picture because when Darth Maul came out she ran crying and had to leave the stage. After everyone had their turn they came to her and asked if she wanted to try. In the picture you can also tell she is trying to lean back away from him. He was a scary looking man.

For lunch we had reservation for a character lunch with Special Agent Oso, Handy Manny, and Little Einstein's June and Leo.

After a short afternoon nap we spent the afternoon at Epcot
The week we were down there was the parade of flowers. It was so neat how they had flowers in the shapes of different characters.
